ProceedingsPro052RILEM Technical Committee 195-DTD: Motive and technical content Title: RILEM Technical Committee 195-DTD: Motive and technical content Abstract: In order to evaluate hardening cement paste-mortar-concrete in terms of crack sensitivity it is essential to quantify the self-generated volume changes by laboratory tests. In the framework of RILEM TC195-DTD, a round-robin test program has been performed on autogenous deformation of a mortar in linear test set-ups. The paper describes the execution of the program and presents some of the main results. There is significant scatter in the RRresults, which arises questions regarding equipment and test procedures, but possible variations in the mixed mortar will also contribute to the variation. The work has generated experience on how to organize and execute RR-tests. Experience from other RR-programs could be compiled with the present in order to help and secure high quality in future RRprograms. Such task could be undertaken by a new RILEM-committee. The committee will work out guidelines on how to perform tests in linear set-ups, including test procedure and minimal requirements for equipment. Online publication: 2006-07-30 |
