Abstract: The paper illustrates the executive methodologies and the results of the on-site assessment campaign carried out on the nineteenth-century structures (volcanic stones foundations, neapolitan yellow tuff masonries, chestnut wooden trusses, reticular beams and iron pillars) of the national railway museum of Pietrarsa near Napoli.
Data for the structural modelling of the museum complex and the assessment of his seismic vulnerability have been provided by tests with single and double flat jacks, thermographic, georadar, sound and resistographic investigations.
