Advances in Construction Materials 2007
Symposium in honour of Hans W. Reinhardt
Stuttgart, Germany
23 and 24 July 2007

Purpose and Scope

The Symposium on Advances in Construction Materials 2007 will give an overview about the state of the art in construction materials. It brings together scientists from all over the world to share ideas for further developments and solutions for in situ applications. This year the conference is dedicated to the work of an exceptional scientist in this field.

HANS W. REINHARDT is working in many fields related to Civil Engineering like for example construction materials, fracture mechanics and non-destructive testing. He investigated an amazing variety of different materials and material compositions including concrete (SFRC, HPC, SCC), wood and even aluminium.

His impressive vita comprises tenures at the University of Delft, the University of Darmstadt and the University of Stuttgart. He is active member in several organizations e.g. RILEM, CEN, ACI, ASTM, VDI and DAfStb where his advice is most welcome. This symposium will be held to honour his work and to recognize his contributions to teaching and research in construction materials. The two-day symposium will also bring together his former students, collaborators and friends for a celebration and a reunion.

The scientific program of the symposium will consist of oral presentations and proceedings papers. There will be non-parallel oral sessions. The proceedings book will be available during the conference.
