Report rep036: Textile Reinforced Concrete - State-of-the-Art Report of RILEM TC 201-TRC

Textile reinforced concrete is a new composite material with high potentials where the application in building members is concerned but also in other branches. This state-of-the-art report underlines the potentials of TRC.

In July 2002, the RILEM TC 201-TRC (Textile Reinforced Concrete) was founded. The chairman of the TC greatfully thanks the members of the committee for doing the hard work to write this state-of-the-art report. We decided to make one person responsible for each chapter - the name of the subchair is written first in the name list of each chapter – and organise the content. We were able to proceed very fast owing to each person who helped with a contribution. This precise organisation allowed the completion of this report just in time for the first international conference on TRC in Aachen in autumn 2006.
We had meetings in Lisbon, Evanston, Varenna, New York, Lyon and Kansas City to discuss the proposals of the report.
