... R. Douglas Hooton, RILEM Fellow since 2015, in addition to being a member of several RILEM Technical Committees, has previously served on DAC, MAC, TAC and was chair of EAC? He organizes & hosts the EAC-sponsored course on Chemistry of Cements and Concrete every 2nd year since 2000. This year the course had to be rescheduled due to COVID19. IN-HOUSE TALKS AND STATEMENTS
 

The report of the RILEM co-sponsored online workshop titled "Resilience of Concrete Construction" is available here!
 
The workshop dealt with advances about improvement in the response of the construction industry to extreme global and local events, such as earthquakes, floods, hurricanes and cyclones. It had 11 speakers delivering lectures on a range of themes related to resilience in construction. It was attended by graduate students, researchers, practising engineers and industry experts around the world, with about 3000 registered participants.
 
Some of the lectures will be made available in the RILEM YouTube channel.
