This is a collection of articles that announce projects and initiatives that aim to reduce the carbon footprint of concrete: 1) the Carbon Challenge of Holcim España, a think tank to promote CO2 emissions research and reduction; 2) the most sustainable high-speed railway in the UK using low carbon concrete and 3) carbonation, here called "fungal effect" identified as a phenomenon to reduce the environmental impact of concrete.
