TC 277-LHS report published on Materials and Structures
 
RILEM TC 277-LHS “Specifications for testing and evaluation of lime-based repair materials for historic Structures” started in 2017 with the aim of better understanding the procedures to assess the performance of lime-based materials. This 30-page long article, authored by J.I. Alvarez et al., is a comprehensive review on the mechanisms of setting and hardening of lime-based binding systems. Seizing the urban opportunity
 
The Coalition for Urban Transitions has recently released a report that, through the analysis of the economy of 6 countries (China, India, Indonesia, Brazil, Mexico and South Africa), has elaborated some suggestions on how to tackle climate crisis and COVID recovery through the development of their cities.  The report indicates that these countries could cut 96% of their emissions by 2050 by investing in low-carbon initiatives.
