2022 RILEM Spring Convention and 75th anniversary
 
The 2022 RILEM Spring Convention and the celebration of the 75th RILEM anniversary took place last week in Paris. It was the occasion to shake hands again amongst friends and colleagues, to establish new Technical Committees and to listen to excellent talks. A detailed report will soon be circulated. Concrete 2023
 
The Concrete Institute of Australia’s Biennial National Conference in 2023 has opened the Abstract Submission procedure. The theme of this event is Resilient & Sustainable Concrete: Breaking Down Barriers. More info available here!

 

 

Pritzker Prize for sustainable buildings in Africa
 
Diébédo Francis Kéré is the recipient of the architecture’s most prestigious honour, the Pritzker Prize. Mr Kéré often works in close partnership with local builders who would use indigenous, low-tech construction methods and locally available materials.
