Lat-RILEM
 
The Latin-American Regional Group of RILEM (Lat-RILEM), founded in 2010 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, has a new Regional Secretary: Dr José Manuel Mendoza Rangel, from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, Mexico. Best wishes to José Manuel and many thanks to Dr Yury Villagran Zaccardi for his amazing work and dedication over the past years.

 

 

Uruguay’s 2030 net-zero target
 
Between 2017 and 2021, 94% of Uruguay electricity was generated by renewable sources. Another Uruguay’s recent sustainable shift toward its 2030 net-zero target is the “roadmap” for the construction of social housing using high-rise timber buildings… but there are many obstacles along the path.
