RTL “Latin America paper”
 
New paper in RILEM Technical Letters (RTL)! It discusses the strategies and opportunities in Latin America and the Caribbean to reduce the carbon footprint of cement and concrete production. Like all RTL papers, it is Open Access. RILEM acknowledges the contribution of its partner FICEM.

 

 

Upcoming EAC PhD course
 
The EAC PhD course “Repair and Rehabilitation of Concrete Structures” will take place at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, from 26 to 30 September 2022. World's highest single-arch rail bridge
 
The forthcoming Chenab Bridge spans the Chenab River in India at a height of 359m above the riverbed level. 66,000m³ of concrete have been used in this project. The new rail line is expected to complete in early 2023. More info here. Photo: Twitter/@AshwiniVaishnaw
