Report of the 2024 RILEM Spring Convention
 
The 2024 RILEM Spring Convention and Conference on advanced construction materials and processes for a carbon neutral society was hosted in Milan, Italy, on 7-12 April 2024. The event developed through 5 key-note lectures, 140 technical contributions, 16 parallel sessions, with 200 delegates from 30 different countries. The report of the event is available here!

 

 

Additively Manufactured Concrete
 
The International Summer School: Additively Manufactured Concrete Structures will take place in Naples (Italy) on July 15-19, 2024. The primary objective of this Summer School is to train participants with the most advanced technical knowledge—analytical, numerical, and practical—on designing and constructing structures using 3D Concrete Printing.

 

 

Hands on LC3 production
 
The Latin American Technology Resource Center (TRC LATAM) is launching the second “Hands on” seminar on clay calcination, which will take place on October 6-12, 2024, in Santa Clara, Cuba. The course includes the participation to a real clay calcination trial at the LC3 pilot plant Ecosolutions, and a visit to the natural exposure site at Cayo Santa Maria.

 

 

NEx call for ideas
 
NEx, an ACI Center of Excellence for Nonmetallic Building Materials, is seeking project ideas/problem statements for funding in 2025.
