New paper from RILEM TC 294-MPA
 
Members of RILEM TC 294-MPA Mechanical properties of alkali-activated concrete have recently produced an interlaboratory study of the mechanical properties of fiber-reinforced ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS)-based alkali-activated concrete (FRAAC) that supports the use of FRAAC as a sustainable substitute for conventional Portland cement concrete. New paper from RILEM TC 298-EBD
 
“Wang, Q., Kunther, W., Li, Y. et al. Sulfate attack testing approaches from concrete to cement paste: A review by RILEM TC 298-EBD. Mater Struct 58, 232 (2025)” is the new OPEN ACCESS paper from RILEM Technical Committee 298-EBD Test methods to evaluate durability of blended cement pastes against deleterious ions. This is the first step towards the development of simple accelerated test methods for evaluating sulfate resistance.
