Abstract: In realizing the rational integrated design for structural performance and durability of concrete structures, it is a key technology to predict time-dependent performance change of structures under given environmental and loading conditions. The paper presents a computational methodology for mechanical behaviour of RC members with corroded reinforcing bars due to chloride attack. Mechanical models for bond and slip of corroded bars embedded in concrete are formulated on the basis of laboratory tests. A numerical simulation for time-dependent performance change of RC members is demonstrated based on the transport analysis of chloride ions in concrete and the proposed mechanical models.
