Abstract: lnformed discussions are needed when strategies are made for which way to treat waste
material from structures to be demolished. LCA methodology can be useful for management of construction and demolition waste. If used in a controlled form, following an LCA guideline, analysis for specific demolition projects can in addition provide useful information when an LCA is performed for a new construction project, in order to minimise the impacts from future demolition and give guidance regarding how recycled materials can be used.
