Abstract: For an assessment of expansion anchors, it is necessary to know, which parameters have to be considered. To investigate safety relevant aspects for Torque Controlled Expansion Anchors fife different types of anchors have been tested. The products were examined onto appearance, behaviour at setting and under static loading in tension and shear direction.

The tests have been shown, that a lot of parameters have to be considered to compare the behaviour of different anchors, especially under difficult conditions on construction site.
In addition to the ultimate pull-out and shear load, the setting procedure and the tightening torque moment are very important parameters.
