Abstract: Raymundo Rivera-Villarreal was born in the City of Monterrey, N.
L.
México, 20 February 1929.
He studied in the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL), and in 1957 he got his Civil Engineering degree.
In the same University, in 1983 he obtained his Master Degree on Structural Engineering.
In 1984, the UANL bestowed him an Honorific Doctor Degree in Engineering, and in 1997, Dr.
Rivera was acknowledged as Emeritus Professor.
Dr.
Rivera has a strong scientific and research reputation in civil engineering world, supported by his continuous contribution to a numerous national and international conferences, seminars, workshops, round tables, congresses within and outside of Mexico.
