Abstract:
This paper presents a mathematical model for predicting transient heat and moisture transfer in external wall structures made of concrete sandwich panels, with boundary conditions as variation in term of outdoor temperature and relative humidity. The objective is to evaluate the possibility of reducing sandwich concrete's moisture content associated with heating the natural ventilated air gap by use of a numerical simulation program. Simulations demonstrate that the concrete's moisture condition can be improved by using the simple heating control regulation developed in this paper.
