Abstract:
Detailed structural analysis and overall on-the-spot tests are performed on the Shanxi Daily Office Hall. On the foundation of the internal forces and displacements acquired from finite element computation, a beam-slab-shell composite structure is presented. In order to efficiently control the displacements and to increase structural stiffness, three prestressed concrete annular beams are used at different height of columns. The static and seismic analysis shows that the three annular beams can efficiently improve the stability and seismic capability of global structure. In job site, serial tests are performed, in which the tensioning process of unbonded tendons are controlled by a computer, and the finial tested results verify the correctness of calculation. The on-the-spot tests strongly guarantee that the final results of tensioning force are identical with the needs of the structure design.
