Abstract:
Grand National Theater of China is the highest grade of artistic center of China. In the structural system, many structure types and some new techniques are used synthetically, including prestressed concrete, concrete filled tubular columns, space net shell, conversion floors and so on. In this paper, some effective modeling methods and technical ways of huge structure analyses are presented and discussed, including the reasonable simplification of some special structural members; selection of element types through trial calculation and using initial stress to simulate prestress. Especially, for complex structures the partition and combination of finite element models is an effective measure to speed up the modeling process and avoid errors.
