Abstract: Some different self-compacting concretes as well as some conventional vibrated concretes have been fire tested in order to determine the fire spalling. The tests clearly showed that self-compacting concrete is more damaged by fire compared to conventional concrete if no precautions are taken. By adding fibres of polypropylene the amount of spalling of self-compacting concrete can be decreased to the same level as for conventional concrete.
