Abstract: Several types of FRP (fibre reinforced polymers) reinforcement have been developed in recent years in the shape of bars, grids and sheets. These elements are not susceptible to the usual types of corrosion. The paper gives a survey of the main characteristics of FRP reinforcement and shows some of the applications.
