Abstract: Recycled concrete is possibly one of the best examples of the impact of a single word on commercial success. A product should be evaluated for its performances and added value rather than for its name. Against all odds and researches, recycled concrete is often refused because is not “new” and therefore is “a second-hand product”. “Rules” have always been the best incentive for recycled concrete (typically set like: either you use recycled concrete or your construction will not meet the environmental standards). This article presents a study based on a commercial and largely used structural recycle concrete.
