Abstract: Superabsorbent polymers (SAPs) are a new class of additives to concrete. They introduce pores which are similar to those due to air-entraining agents. Three types of SAP were used in this experimental investigation one of which was a fiber. The aim was to check whether the SAPs could enhance the frost resistance of concrete. Results are shown and discussed.
