Abstract: Over 13,000 m3 of High strength highly durable self-compacting concrete (SQC; Super Quality Concrete) was used for the construction of Ritto Bridge Piers. During construction of those piers, kinds of quality controlling methods were used for production control and site inspection. Slump-flow test, U type box test, V type funnel test were carried out for site inspection, and also whole concrete testing apparatus was used for observation of quality variation of concrete. On the other hand, power loading of mixer and water content of fresh concrete were checked for production control. In this report, the author will introduce the procedure, concepts and effects of those quality controlling methods which were used in the construction. The co-relations of each test results will be investigated, and the way to control the quality of SQC will be suggested in this report.
