Abstract: The mix design method of self-compacting high-strength concrete is discussed in the paper. The major parameters for mix design is analyzed and studied on the basis of the working performance of self-compacting high-strength concrete used in bridge structure, then a four-layer system design method for mix design of self-compacting high-strength concrete is put forward based on the principle of maximum density. The application of self-compacting concrete in concrete-filled steel tube tied-arch bridge shows that, the mix design method introduced in the paper is tenable in the theory of concrete proportion, practical and simple if this method is used for mix design of self-compacting concrete.
