Abstract: In this paper, we introduce three novel tecnologies to strengthen the hydraulic engineering based on SCC. The first tecnology is the RFC tecnology which is a new type of concrete for massive concrete construction works based on the SCC. We use the RFC tecnology to strengthen the arch dam and gravity dam by placing the RFC behind the dam. The applications in RFC show that RFC has great advantages in massive concrete construction, such as low heat of hydration, fast construction activities and low cost. The second tecnology is the SCC and SCM application in culvert pipe plugging which uses the SCC and SCM to block the culver pipe and utilize the grouting material to repair the surfaces. The third tecnology is the underwater SCC application in plugging project which uses special underwater protective agent and special SCM to ensure the special SCC does not disperse underwater. All the applications of SCC contribute to simpler construction management and better quality control, which makes the SCC become potentially promising in the risk elimination and reinforcement project of hydraulic engineering.
