Abstract: Finite element numerical simulation of three UHPC(strengthening site through beam) precast joints under monotonic loading test to study its seismic performance, including the load-carrying capacity, failure pattern, skeleton curves, ductility and energy dissipation characteristics; Change parameters including strength, toughness, and the size of strengthening site. The test results show that the process of joint failure starts from cracking, then yielding
developed at beam end, and then the joint becomes fully cracked and finally leads to failure; However the experiments also show that as the strength of UHPC increases, the shear capacity in joint core is obviously increased; as the toughness of UHPC and range of strengthening site increases, shear deformation significantly enhanced.
