Abstract: It studies the effect of water-cement ratio and long curing period on the mechanics of C100 and C120 ultra-high strength concrete. The pore structure and microstructure of the concrete were measured by nitrogen adsorption-desorption method and scanning electron microscopy. Results show that flexural strength of 28d high strength concrete with water-cement ratio of
0.18, 0.20 and 0.25 could exceed to 10 MPa and its compressive strength could reach to 120 MPa. With curing period of 56d, the static pressure elastic modulus of C120 concrete could reach to 53.7 GPa. With curing period increases to 360d, the strength of ultra-high strength concrete could reach to 150 MPa. SEM analysis shows that when the curing period reached to
360d, concrete with water-cement ratio of 0.18 generated much hydration C-S-H which is tightly stacked. While concrete with water-cement ratio of 0.25 mainly formed lamellar C-S-H gel which its structure is more loose.
