Abstract: In this work computerized microtomography (CT) is used to compare the volume of
aggregate, of natural aggregate fraction and the adhered mortar fraction. Limestone aggregates
and multi-recycled aggregates has been analysed with a CT equipment. Standard concrete was
crushed in order to produce the first cycle recycled aggregate and a recycled aggregate concrete
was made with it. Alike, second and third generation recycled aggregates were produced. The
results show that the volume of voids between aggregates decreases with the successive
recycling. Closed porosity decreases with the number of cycles and the adhered mortar volume
increases.
