Abstract: Masonry and paving blocks are produced by vibro-pressed concretes with low content of water,

in comparison with conventional concretes mixes. The manufacturing process through vibro-
presses imparts properties such as compressive strength and density to the final product. Several
authors seek to reproduce the energy of pressing of industrial vibro-presses in laboratory scale.
Part of dry cast concretes, to present performance requirements not as high, allows
incorporating of recycled aggregates of construction and demolition (CDW) in their
compositions, as an alternative to reduce environmental impacts. The objective of this paper is
to analyse the characteristics of dry mixes with natural aggregate and mixed recycled aggregates
(MRA) of CDW, varying the volume of control during the compaction with a method able to
reproduce industrial conditions in laboratory. Through the volume control during pressing, dry
concrete with MRA reached high densities and mechanical behaviour similar of dry concretes
with natural aggregates.
