Abstract: According to ISO 55000, Asset Management, it comprises a coordinated set of activities
of an organization to realize value through its assets. Thus, Asset Management is
formulated comprehensively to adapt to the specific needs of the assets, the changing
contexts and the different strategic objectives of the organizations.
In this sense, a methodology of Life Cycle Cost Analysis was developed, whose main
objective is to support the management of all physical assets during their life cycle,
detecting the main expenses, as well as their distribution, in the physical assets, allowing
a correct rationalization of the use of resources, through the implementation of measures
aimed at reducing consumption and controlling the activities that take place in the
institution under analysis.
After applying the developed methodology, it was verified that it is an asset for this type
of institutions, promoting the planning of the economic management of the life cycle of
its physical assets, which consequently help in the definition of an Asset Management
System, the realization of its value.
