Abstract: AE-Tomography (AET) is a technique that identifies source locations of AE events and elastic wave velocity distribution simultaneously by using arrival times of AE at receivers. Resolution of the identified source locations depends on density of nodal points and relay points on meshes in AET, and computational cost of AET becomes expensive if the density of the points is raised to improve the resolution. However, it is demanded to raise the resolution since the resolution affects to accuracy of resultant elastic wave velocity distributions. Thus, in this study, a new source location technique based on ray-trace technique with limited raise of computational cost is proposed, and its feature is validated by performing a series of numerical investigations.
