Abstract: This work deals with the use of rotational rheometer for determining the rheological parameters of cement paste over time. The experiments were conducted on high resistance Portland cement pastes modified with superabsorbent polymer (SAP). The results show that the test is satisfactory for determining rheological properties, especially viscosity. A rheological model, the Hershel-Bulkley in this case, was required to determine yield stress from the rotational flow curve. The studied SAP levels affected the rheological properties slightly; moreover, yield stress was more affected than viscosity, showing about 10% increase.
