Abstract: The following paper aims to present a numerical thermodynamic model which can be used for solving the transient thermal field of a chosen structural detail subjected to thermal loads. The proposed calculation model is carried out in the FEM software and depicts a concreting stage of a concrete basement structure with focus on early age behavior of walls cast onto foundation slabs. Fundamental requirements for formulation of such model as well as its potential applicability are then discussed. Further, the paper presents a brief overview of the deformation behavior of hardening walls on foundations.
