Abstract: In this investigation, the effect of pozzolanic admixtures on pH and conductivity of concrete pore solutions was studied. A leaching method was employed to measure the pH and conductivity of concrete pore solution on specimens older than one year. It was found that the use of fly ash (FA) and Ground-granulated blast-furnace slag (GGBS) could decrease both the pH and conductivity of pore solution. The pH and conductivity of concrete pore solution could be significantly decreased when large amounts of FA were used. It was also found that Class F fly ash shows more significant effect in reducing pH and conductivity of concrete pore solution than GGBS.
