Abstract: This study investigated four kinds of concrete with different replacement percentage of recycled coarse aggregate (RA). The thickness of rust layer and crack width on concrete cover surface were measured by digital microscopy. The results show that the more RA concrete contained, the earlier the corrosion-induced crack appears and the faster the crack propagates. The introduction of a small amount of RA (33% in this study) into concrete mixture does not influence corrosion-induced concrete surface cracking process significantly.
