Abstract: Since HPFRCC has a large strain capacity even under tensile stress, it is very important how to determine the stress vs. strain relationship and to model it for numerical analyses of structural components. In this study, tensile behavior of a HPFRCC is investigated by means of uniaxial tension tests. Then, as the first step of the structural application of HPFRCC, bond behavior of deformed bar is experimentally studied and three point bending tests on beams of reinforced HPFRCC are carried out. The mechanical behavior including failure mode and cracking pattern is compared with those of ordinary RC beams. On the basis of these experimental results, modelling the material laws are discussed and they are applied to analyse structural components. Finally, mechanical behavior including cracking pattern is analysed by finite element method.
