Abstract: The main purpose of this study is to develop a “ductile wall”, which is a new shear wall elements with high ductility by using High Performance Fiber Reinforced Cementitious Composite (HPFRCC). In this study, as the first step, the concept of ductile walls is introduced. The lateral loading test on model specimens is implemented in order to compare the load-deformation relationship of ductile walls with that of RC shear walls. As a result, it is shown that ductile walls have additional effective ductility as well as high stiffness and strength which RC shear walls already have.
