Abstract:
Multiple fine cracking type fiber reinforced cementitious composite (hereafter referred to HPFRCC) is a cement-based material on which worldwide active research has been conducted and particular attention has been focused in recent years. The Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE) has published the world’s first design recommendation for HPFRCC. Characteristics of HPFRCC include a strain hardening tensile stress-strain behavior like steel and crack width controlling capability keeping crack width in a permissible range. Appropriate use of the tensile performance can work out a structural component excellent in both durability and mechanical performance. This paper introduces the JSCE design recommendation of HPFRCC.
