Abstract:
Textile reinforced concrete (TRC) is one promising possibility to produce thin-walled high load bearing structural elements. Besides the maximum load bearing capacity, the durability under various conditions is one major issue for future applications. This paper deals with the technical requirements needed to investigate aspects of the durability of TRC. The investigations include short- and long-term loading tests, which were carried out under different climates. The test rig used to investigate the long-term performance of TRC-specimen will also be presented. The results show a reduction of the strength loss of the AR-Glass due to the alkalinity of the concrete, when polymers are used for impregnating the reinforcement.
