Abstract: The aim of this work is to evaluate the changes in SCC properties when variations are applied on the components amounts, simulating weighting errors in large-scale production.
Six different SCC mix designs were selected for this study. Changes in materials contents were applied on them, covering the tolerances accepted by codes following a statistical design to minimise the number of tests and to obtain good confidence in the conclusions. Influence of errors on the concrete properties were analysed by analysis of variance to determine the most important errors and also to find out the more sensitive properties to such variations.
In a parallel way, such tolerances were compared to statistical distributions of errors commonly found in large-scale production in order to obtain more reliable conclusions.
