Abstract: The paper deals with the effect of dispersed reinforcement on properties of light weight self-compacting concrete (LWSCC). For manufacturing of LWSCC, expanded clay aggregate Liapor (produced in Czech republic) was used. Fibers used for experimental work were synthetic fibers (1 to 8 kg/m3), polypropylene fibers (0.91 kg/m3) and two types of steel fibers (25 kg/m3) of concrete. Above all, homogeneity was observed as one of the most important conditions of application of fiber-reinforced concrete for bearing structures. The influence of fibers on rheological properties of fresh concrete was tested as well as volumetric changes of fresh and maturing concrete. Basic physico-mechanical properties including durability of LWSCC were stated - volume weight, compressive strength, flexural strength, splitting tensile strength, freeze resistance, resistance to water and chemical anti freeze including static and dynamic elasticity modules.
