Abstract: Thickness measurements of concrete members, which are accessible from one side only, contain a wide range of testing tasks, e.g.:
- Pavement and road surface slabs
- Inner shells of tunnels
- Concrete floors
- Shallow foundations (e.g. slabs)
- Deep foundations (e.g. piles)
This contribution gives an overview of the state of the art for these different testing tasks applying Radar, Ultrasonic Echo, Impact-Echo and Low Strain Techniques. The aim is to compare accuracy and reliability of the methods regarding different site condition at defined test specimens and benchmarks.
This contribution describes part of the work in RILEM TC 207 INR.
