Abstract: The catastrophic earthquake on December 26-2003 caused a heavily damage on the Bam Citadel (Arg-e Bam). This destructive earthquake is occurred in the area of Bam and its cultural landscape and demolition ratio in the Citadel itself was more than 30%. Soon after the earthquake, the Recovery Project of Bam’s Cultural Heritage is established to organize the recovery process in the Bam Citadel and the cultural landscapes in the city of Bam. The following activities have been done after 4 years in Bam Citadel:
-Documentation gathering (the previous documents including photos, maps, sketches, etc.),
-Study (historical, archeology, geology, structures, materials, etc.),
-Design (restoration and conservation plans, complementary plans, arrangement plans),
-Executive projects(equipment, debris removal, emergency conservation, protective restoration, stabilization, reordering),
-Monitoring (photography, reports, documentation and complementing of the archive),
-Maintenance (small items, repairs, emergencies, major items and long term program).
