Abstract: Fiber reinforced cement composites are often employed in severe conditions. These might be exposed for instance to high temperatures and/or high mechanical loads. However, their properties are mostly measured in laboratory conditions only, so that designers cannot take into account their changes after loading. In this paper, water and water vapor transport properties of hybrid-fiber reinforced cement composite with aramid fibers are studied as functions of thermal load. On the basis of experimental results simple semi-empirical relations between the hygral properties and pore space characteristics are formulated.
