Abstract: The energy strategy for this development is to reduce the energy consumption both in summer and winter. Water source heat pump air conditioning systems making use of water from a river and an artificial lake as a cooling and heating medium is the approach taken. It addresses the consideration on making use of river water and artificial lake water in air conditioning central plant in terms of water temperature and water quality. In addition, how energy is saved from the system in cooling and heating stages will be compared with traditional design and provision. This paper will also describe the design of central water source heat pump plant and heat dissipation/heat recovery capability to/from an artificial lake will be discussed.
