Abstract: Using reference/literature in China and worldwide, in this paper analyzes the development status of high performance recycled aggregate concrete. When considering the test data, it shows that the superplasticizer and admixtures not only can they improve the mechanical properties of recycled aggregate concrete (RAC), but can also increase its durability and workability. However, the high performance recycled aggregate concrete still needs to be studied further, because of the inherent defects of recycled aggregates. Finally this paper presents some questions which should be investigated much more based on the research on the modification of recycled aggregates.
