Abstract: The SAP-based particles seem not to exploit their full potential of technological application yet. This paper suggests the development of a SAP-based concrete additive with the effect of delayed absorption, suppressing some negative effects. Such particles should be able to produce concrete with good workability; the delayed absorption of concrete, placed into the framework, reduces free water as required for high-performance concrete. Consequently, high degree of hydration can be achieved.
