Abstract: Sandwich panels made of TRC are an attractive choice for modern building envelopes combining low weight, high structural and structural-physical performance with the superior surface qualities and material properties of textile reinforced concrete. To allow for the application of these panels, investigations on the architectural design, the properties of the applied materials, the load-bearing behavior of the composite action of facings and foam core as well as the feasible design of capable connectors have been performed in a current research project. The paper presents a brief summary of the hitherto conducted experimental and theoretical research on the previously mentioned topics.
