The organisers of the 78th RILEM Annual Week, taking place next year in September in Toulouse, France, are thrilled to announce two opportunities for its young delegates: 1) the Young Researcher Competition, for the best paper and best poster; and 2) the RILEM PhD travel grant. New recommendation
 
Materials and Structures has published a new recommendation on the method of testing concrete spalling due to fire, from the RILEM Technical Committee (TC) 256-SPF. The Committee has defined two types of screening tests: 1) material screening tests and 2) product screening tests. This paper deals with material screening test.
